Each Discipline, Priced on Its Own Line.

LINE 01

Monthly Bookkeeping

Every transaction recorded and classified to a defined calendar. The books close by the 10th of the following month, and you receive a profit-and-loss statement, a balance sheet, and a short written note on anything worth your attention — kept in QuickBooks Online or Xero.

$385per month, base
LINE 02

Bank Reconciliation

Operating, savings, credit line, and merchant accounts tied out against their statements each month, reconciled to zero. Variances are chased to their source and documented. Included within every bookkeeping engagement — never billed as a surprise line.

LINE 03

Full-Cycle Payroll

Timesheet to net pay to the quarterly return — run and filed on your schedule in Gusto. Direct deposits, federal and Massachusetts withholdings, and new-hire reporting all handled. Priced from a base of ten on staff; larger headcounts quoted on review.

From $355added per month
LINE 04

Quarterly Close Review

A sit-down over the quarter's figures with you — and, where you keep one, your CPA — so the year-end holds no surprises for your filing. Available on its own or folded into the Full Engagement.

$225per quarter

We work from read-only feeds, so your money never moves through this office. Each transaction is categorised against a chart of accounts built for your trade — not a stock template — and reviewed before the books are closed.

02 / Full-Cycle Payroll

People paid, filings made, on the dot.

Weekly, bi-weekly, or semi-monthly — your staff are paid by direct deposit and every withholding is filed when it is due. Payroll questions dated before a run are answered the same day; everything else, within one business day.

What to have ready

Before We Open Your Books.

Four things, and a half-hour conversation. The first reconciled close follows within the opening month.

  1. Read-only account access

View-only connections to your bank, card, and merchant accounts. Your money never moves through this office — we only read what has already cleared.

  2. Your last filed year-end

The most recent return and financials your CPA prepared, so we open the books on figures that already tie out.

  3. A current payroll register

If payroll is part of the engagement: who is on staff, how they are paid, and the pay schedule you run.

  4. A half-hour conversation

A short call to settle scope, cadence, and the flat figure — written down and agreed before the first entry is posted.

The firm's standing position

“A price agreed in writing is the first entry we make.”

— The standing principle of Tally & Twine

Engagements & pricing

Set Before the First Entry.

One flat monthly retainer per engagement, agreed in writing. Choose the column that fits the firm you run — the figure does not move with our hours.

ACH Transfer Check Card

Larger headcounts and multi-entity books are quoted on review — the office will tell you the figure before you commit to it.
